LIMEX MUSIC HANDELS GMBH
has been the producer and developer of all LIMEX and SOLI Sound Expanders. It is also responsible for the distribution of its brand product lines.

The LIMEX MUSIC development team has been actively working on the development of sound products for 11 years.


1994 SOLI-MUSIC begins with a floppy disk series of specific solo instruments in ENSONIQ™ format. (From which the company name SOLI-MUSIC was derived)



1997 SOLI-MUSIC sounds from this first series are licensed by the companies Yamaha™, HOHNER™ and ALESIS™. The CD-ROM "Deutsche Tanz- und Volksmusik Vol. II " (English: "German Dance and Folk Music Vol. II) in AKAI™, ENSONIQ™ and SampleCell® format are produced.

1999 The first Sound Expander "EUROPA TRADITIONELL" featuring sounds from Europe is introduced to the market.

At a music trade fair in Frankfurt in 2001, the first prototype of the Sound Expander "THE CONCERT BAND" is presented.

At the end of 2001, the first models of TRADITION AUSTRIA are delivered.


A special model - TRADITION AUSTRIA & SCHWEIZ - with additional sounds from Switzerland is produced for Swiss musicians.

Version II of the 2002 Sound Expander TRADITION AUSTRIA with a few new sounds and a slight enhancement is available. The upgrade to the new sounds is free.

After a three year development period, the first console with the new 19" SoundBoard is shipped in December 2003:
THE CONCERT BAND with the sounds of a symphonic wind orchestra (concert band).


The TRADITION XL series appears in October 2004

2005 March
The first new LIMEX PRODUCTS are presented in Frankfurt.

2005 September
The STYLE POWER PACKAGE with 127 styles for the LIMEX MPR3 Midi system is delivered.

SOLI MUSIC and LIMEX have merged to form LIMEX MUSIC HANDELS GMBH in the sound products industry.
